A Customers Interaction Process to Influence and Cooperate with
Workload Automation
Development Team

IBM + HCL WA Transparent Development Program is a solid process that for a number of years we have been proposing to customers during the development cycles to deliver new releases and various enhancements related to Workload Automation. This program is an agile way for customers to possibly influence and interact with the development process of new functionalities in the Workload Automation. Transparent Development is a concrete opportunity to share your priorities, feedback,  requirements and strategic objectives, while a feature is being developed.

This kind of interaction can take place in different ways
and in various phases of the development process:
  • The RFE program, that is in the service of customers to post, collect and discuss requirements.  Transparent Development events are also the best place for a deep-dive in one or more enhancement requests.
  • Reviewing documentation and story boards, as well as participating in specific design discussion sessions keep the collaboration active step by step.
  • Online events to share presentations, demos and videos of the main deliverables are the perfect context to collect feedback and quotes and to stay close to customers’ strategic priorities. A lot of detailed and reach material is regularly posted  to be downloaded after each event, together with a short survey to receive quotes and feedback.
  • Involving customers in beta programs, to ‘play’ with the code in advance, test it and share feedback.
  • WA Transparent Development Program is centered on a community website where customers can find a repository for posted material, video gallery, blogs, as well as links to WA Knowledge Center, to be up to date with documentation, RFE community to post new enhancement requests or vote the existing ones.

IBM + HCL Transparent Development  Process also offers the possibility to have 1-1 sessions with the Development Team to go through one or more  items.  Those who are interested in deepening one or more topics during their development cycle can drop us a note (katiuscia.berretta@hcl.com) to  have a 1-1  deep-dive session with the most expert people of those functionalities. We strongly encourage to use this channel as a way to keep the dialog active and effective. A perfect way to cooperate in the development process.

Furthermore, we invite all customers from all over the world to visit  our HCL Rome Briefing Center.  During the development process we organize briefing events  to help customers accomplish their business goals and objectives. Briefing discussions may include consultative ideation, product road-map reviews, deep-dive sessions, strategic discussions.  Our briefing events also offer the opportunity to participate in Design Workshops with the UX Design Team.
