The Orchestration Monitor has introduced a brand-new panel that gives the possibility to move through the folder and select the queries saved by the user or shared with them in a single switch. This panel is available during the entire Orchestration Monitor experience; the Tree view is the same on each entity, while the Saved query adapts itself to the selected entity. Tree View The Tree view panel shows the entire folder structure of the environment and enables the user to navigate through it. This action modifies the query displayed on the input box over the monitor table. As shown in the below picture, the user selects the folder from the Tree view panel; this action reflects on the query that changes from its previous state to a new one. This new query instantly triggers the search on the plan depending on the monitoring entity, and the results are visible on the data table. The latter contains all the instances in the selected folder. Description: The user selects the folder /ITALY. Note that the generated query stops on the current folder that is empty. Description: The user adds /@ to the previous query: now the search extends to all the subfolders (both /MILAN and /ROME) starting from the selected one Description: The user is interested only in the items contained in the /MILAN folder. The communication from the query to the Tree view is also possible, and it is case-insensitive. Indeed, the user can write any needed query, and the latest matching folder is highlighted accordingly in the Tree view. A final concept regarding the Tree view is the Partial loading. When the user performs a search using the absolute path, the parent folders are opened without showing other possible children inside them, but only the ones required to reach the specified folder. This behavior is identified by a yellow dot to remind that the folder may contain other children. There are two ways to load the other siblings:
Description: The folder /US is partially loaded Description: The /US folder is now fully loaded. SAVED QUERY On the same panel, it is possible to see the Saved queries, both the "Saved by me" and the "Shared with me": different scenarios can easily be monitored with a single click. Saving a query is a very simple operation: just type your own query and click on the "Save" button. Description: Save panel. A name can be assigned to the query, which can then be shared with users and groups Description: Whenever a saved query is opened, the query name is displayed over the query input box. Queries are tied to the single monitor entity, so each entity only has the queries that are meaningful to it. When a query is saved, it can be edited, duplicated, or deleted using the three dots menu on the right side of the saved query icon. Description: If a query field changes, a yellow icon appears near the query name. This new query can easily be saved with the previous flow. Thanks to the Tree view and the Saved query located in this single panel, the user can simplify the daily work. Finally, pairing these features with an optimal environment organization provides a significant improvement in the user monitoring experience!
