Technical description and workflow Oracle UCM plugin The Oracle UCM enables you to stage data files for processing to HCM Data Loader. It provides easier integration with other business processes by using the Oracle Universal Content Management (UCM) integration. The Oracle UCM Data Loader automates the process of bulk-loading of data. You can load the data files and monitor them from a single point of control. The data is uploaded as zip files to Oracle UCM, which is processed by the HCM Data Loader. This integration helps you save time, resources, and speed up data loading in a secure manner. Prerequisite for the plugins to work: – Oracle Human Resources Cloud service account with correct permissions to access File Import and Export task in the Oracle Human Resources Cloud web user interface. – Credentials (username and password) for Oracle Human Resources Cloud web user interface. Log in to the Dynamic Workload Console and open the Workload Designer. Choose to create a new job and select “Oracle UCM” job type in the Cloud section: Establishing connection to the Oracle Cloud: In the connection tab provide URL, Username and Password. A connection message is displayed when the connection is established. Required File path which can be browsed using the Browse button Submitting the job stream: Track/ monitor the submitted job: You can easily monitor the submitted job in WA through navigating to “Monitor Workload” page. Logs for the Oracle UCM file upload: UCM File upload status from UI: Oracle HCM Data Loader plugin The Oracle HCM Data Loader integration enables you to import and load the data from data files uploaded to Oracle UCM by the Oracle UCM plugin to Oracle Human Resources Cloud. The plugin internally invokes the importAndLoadData function from the HCMCommonDataLoader web service. HCM Data Loader decompresses the .zip file and imports individual data lines to its stage tables. In the stage tables, related data lines are grouped to form business objects. Any errors that occur during the import phase are reported on the failed job log. HCM Data Loader calls the relevant logical object interface method (delivered in product services) to load valid objects to the application tables. Any errors that occur during the load phase are reported on the failed job log. Prerequisite for the plugins to work: – Oracle Human Resources Cloud service account with Human Capital Management Integration Specialist job role or privileges to access HCM Data Loader. – Credentials(username and password) for Oracle Human Resources Cloud web user interface.
